Setting it up

Setup was easy. Surprisingly easy. The CORE One+ with the 8-tool INDX came fully assembled right out of the box, so there was nothing to build. I plugged it in, and it was printing very soon after. Prusa says you can get from unboxing to your first print in about 10 minutes, and each toolhead calibrates in about 15 seconds.

The INDX is Bondtech's toolchanger for the CORE One+. Instead of one nozzle swapping between filaments, it parks up to eight separate nozzles in a rack, and the printhead grabs whichever one it needs. Each nozzle heats up by induction in seconds, so a tool change takes about 12 seconds and wastes almost no filament, around 0.013 g per change according to Prusa. No giant purge tower, no pile of poop.

How much it costs

As of October 2026, Prusa lists the CORE One+ INDX with 8 toolheads at $2,249 fully assembled, or $1,949 as a kit you build yourself. The 4-toolhead version is $1,999 assembled or $1,699 as a kit, and it can be upgraded to 8 toolheads later. There is also a conversion kit for people who already own a CORE One. Prices and ship dates move around, so check Prusa's site for the current numbers. Right now new orders are quoted to ship after December 21, 2026.
